Dear colleagues!
The 2nd Ahrweiler Symposium was also a complete success!
Due to the consistently positive response from all participants and the urgent request to fill this event with implantology topics, we have planned the 3rd Ahrweiler Symposium – but this time completely differently!!!
As Alexander Scholz and I always strive to offer a unique format, the event is now operating under the new name “OsteoRegeneration Day”. As the name suggests, this day will be all about augmentation techniques. A great deal has changed in this field of implantology in recent years, both in terms of augmentation methods and materials.
I am very pleased and also a little proud that I was able to attract speakers with absolutely comprehensive expertise for our event.
The various augmentation techniques are presented and evaluated in a practical and comprehensive manner. Of course, complications and their suggested solutions are not neglected.
With the event location Düsseldorf and the Hyatt Regency Hotel, we were able to find the right ambience for this.
Finally, it should be mentioned that medentis also attaches great importance to collegial get-togethers and that we can once again look forward to a sensational supporting program.

- Prof. Dr. Fouad Khoury studied dentistry at Saint-Joseph University in Beirut/Lebanon and specialized in oral surgery at the Universities of Freiburg and Münster.
- He was appointed senior physician at the University of Münster, where he also completed his habilitation.
- Since 1994, he has held a professorship at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Münster and is Director of the private dental clinic Schloss Schellenstein, Olsberg, Germany.
- Prof. Khoury has been a visiting professor at several universities for many years, is chairman of the examination board for oral surgery and a member of the editorial board of numerous international specialist journals.
- He was also Chairman of the Working Group for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AGOKI) of the German Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (DGZMK) and is co-editor of the International Journal of Oral Implantology.
- He has received several awards (e.g. the Pioneers in Dentistry Award 2016 of the AUB and the William R. Laney Award of the American Academy of Osseointegration 2017) and holds numerous patents.
- Prof. Khoury is the author and editor of four best-selling textbooks that have been translated into more than 10 languages.
